The chime you hear when tapping Honored Citizen, Youth and certain employer-issued Hop cards is a bit different than Adult cards. This is simply an audible reminder that you're using a reduced-fare card that requires proof of eligibility when boarding. You'll hear two tones and you'll see “ID Required” in the upper right corner of the reader screen.
